Dr Ahmad Zahedi is an Associate Professor in Power Engineering with the College of Science and Engineering of James Cook University. He graduated from 2 Iranian Universities (The Amirkabir University with BEng degree and The Tehran University with MEng. degree). He obtained his secound MEng degree and his PhD degree from the Ruhr University of Bochum in Germany.
Ahmad has been for 7 years Head of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of James Cook University. He is author or co-author of more than 200 publications including 4 full books. He has trained 20 postgraduate candidates at Master and PhD levels, and completed 15 research and industry-funded projects in relation to Power Engineering and Renewable Energy (circa $900,000 in cash). He has 24 years teaching and research at tertiary level in Australian and overseas Universities, as well as 6 years industry experience, and also he has examined more than 50 Masters and PhD theses in relation to power engineering and renewable energy from Australian and overseas universities.
