Anti-CD137 mAb Immunotherapy for Multiple Myeloma

Multiple myeloma is a blood cancer that develops in the bone marrow from malignant plasma cells. We have shown that immunotherapy targeting the costimulatory molecule CD137 significantly reduces tumour burden and improves survival in a mouse myeloma model. We will discuss the mechanisms of action of anti-CD137 mAbs and the effects of tumour-induced immunosuppression on therapy efficacy.
