    The mission of the CNMR is to develop and support a research culture that encourages engagement and collaboration, achieves regular outputs in key focus areas, enhances collaboration with key stakeholder groups and industry, establishes international links with scholars and other partners, and develops a strong successful cohort of HDR students. Research about the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples will be supported through partnership, community involvement and recruitment of Indigenous researchers.  The Centre’s projects must be authentic and sustainable, based on mutual respect between researchers and the people with whom the research is being conducted.
