Our People

CSTFA comprises 34 academic staff from across the College of Marine and Environmental Sciences, the College of Public Health, Medical and Veterinary Sciences, and the College of Business, Law and Governance within the newly formed Division of Tropical Environments and Societies. The expertise of our researchers covers a broad range of disciplines, which include biological, social, economic and governance aspects of fisheries and aquaculture production.

Our staff produce approximately $10 million in external grants, contracts and consultancies each year, and publish in excess of 140 peer-reviewed books, book chapters and papers.  They collaborate with colleagues around the world to help produce innovative solutions and understanding of marine food production systems in both aquaculture and wild capture fisheries. The CSTFA team also includes a number of technical research staff and 96 postgraduate students.
