This data represents an assessment of nutrient discharge from a shrimp farm onto the adjacent fringing reef in Pejarakan village in West Bali Indonesia.
Part 1 provides water quality test results from the farm's outfall pipe, along the discharge channel and onto the adjacent inner reef flat area. Tests were conducted once a week for 3 weeks in April - May 2016, with one replicate per test site.Tests were for ammonia-nitrogen (NH4+-N), nitrate-nitrogen (NO3-N), nitrite-nitrogen (NO2-N), dissolved inorganic phosphorus (DIP), and chlorophyll a (Chl a).
Part 2: Surveys of coral reef benthos cover and condition were conducted along the fringing reef system of Pejarakan village in West Bali Indonesia. The area known as Putri Menjangan is a proposed MPA location, facilitated by the community group Nature Conservation Forum (VCF). Benthic surveys of substrate cover included records of coral bleaching, coral disease, bleaching, generic richness and cover per genus, COTS, Drupella and debris. Five sites along the reef front were surveyed with 3 replicate transects in 3 reef zones. Zones were the reef crest, middle reef flat and inner reef flat.
