Trail user study- Baldy Yabi Circuit Walk and Atherton Forest MTB park

The data set contains the results of a survey identify the contribution that outdoor recreation areas play in the health and wellbeing of residents, to describe trail users’ recreation specialisation characteristics, and to explore the attitudes of visitors and local trail users towards sustainable outdoor recreation. The Herberton Range State Reserve and Baldy Mountain Forest Reserve are adjoining nature reserves situated 1 km east of the regional township of Atherton, Queensland, Australia. The survey was informed by research from sustainability, health promotion and leisure research. The measurement employed in the study comprised quantitative and open[1]ended questions, including binary and categorical responses, and 5-point scales.
