About

Claire obtained her PhD in Immunology and Infectious Diseases in December 2015.

Currently, Claire is a postdoctoral researcher at the Australian Institute of Tropical Health and Medicine (James Cook University, Cairns). Her current research works are dissecting molecular and cellular profiles of the human immune response to malaria. Her work explores malaria response in naturally and experimentally Plasmodium.spp-exposed individuals.

Also, Claire has an extensive expertise in mucosal immunity as her PhD research interests were in the gut immune reconstitution in HIV-1-infected individuals.

Claire has first authored and co-authored various manuscripts in high-impact journals.
