Dr. Emiel Eijdenberg is an Associate Professor and the Singapore Director of the Centre for International Trade and Business in Asia (CITBA). In his role of Singapore Director of CITBA, he leads a range of academia-industry connected consultancy projects, data collection assignments, as well as interactive lectures, seminars, webinars, workshops and events including the flagship international SEIGOP Conference (Singapore, March 2023). In addition, dr. Eijdenberg is a Visiting Fellow at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Dr. Eijdenberg’s research interests are about entrepreneurship and tourism in emerging countries, especially in the Tropics. Dr. Eijdenberg is particularly interested in the personal attributes of entrepreneurs and how these attributes are related to the sustainable growth of their businesses. Dr. Eijdenberg’s work has been presented at international management conferences such as AOM, ANZAM, EGOS, ESU, EURAM, ICSB, ISBE and RENT.
