- Practice Development Staff Wellbeing Empathy building Communication in Healthcare
Julie is a Registered Nurse and Lecturer at James Cook University, Townsville. She is subject coordinator for Communication in Nursing and Midwifery and Clincal Nursing 2 and holds special interest in all first year Nursing and Midwifery students. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Education majoring in Academic Practice awarded by James Cook University in 2019 and a Masters in Nursing majoring in Education completed in 2021. She currently works clincally and has specialised in Perioperative, Pain Management and Palliative Care nursing fields. Julie holds special interests in communication skills and empathy building in healthcare as well as staff well being and practice development.
