About

 Kate Miller is an Associate Lecturer in Microbiology and Immunology and is a member of the Centre for Biodiscovery and Molecular Development of Therapeutics and the Centre for Biosecurity and Tropical Infectious Diseases. She received her PhD from the Australian National University in 1992 and took a number of postdoctoral positions at The University of Queensland and the University of Technology, Sydney. She was appointed as an Associate Lecturer at James Cook University (Cairns) in 2011 where she teaches in the areas of Immunology and Microbiology.  Her research focusses on the study of parasites and their interactions with their hosts. In particular she studies the regulation of intestinal inflammation as a response to a parasitic infection.
