Leanne is a Senior Lecturer, Education (Technologies) in the School of Education at James Cook University. She is most widely known for her research work about the use of Digital Technologies, Design, Systems and Computational Thinking, integrated STEM programs and the use of generative Artificial Intelligence in education.
Leanne is the immediate Past President of the Australian Council of Computers in Education (ACCE) and the Past President of ICT Educators (NSW). In both these Professional Teachers Associations she has worked hard to develop the professionalism and expertise of all teachers' use of technology in the classroom.
