Dr Jordan is an NHMRC/MSRA (Betty Cuthbert) research fellow having completed a PhD in Immunogenetics at James Cook University, Townsville under the supervision of Professor Alan Baxter. She has extensive years of experience in Immunogenetics dissecting the genetics of Type 1 Diabetes, SLE, experimental autoimmune gastritis and Multiple Sclerosis. She has been a member of the Australasian Society for Immunology (ASI) since 1998 and the Australsian Genomic Technologies Association (AGTA, formally AMATA) since 2010. She is a Grant Reviewer for National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Diabetes Australia Research Trust (DART),  Rebecca L. Cooper Foundation  and Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia (MSRA) and is a member of the Queensland branch of the ASI committee. She is a reviewer for Clinical and Experimental Immunology Journal and has been an abstract reviewer for the International Congress of the Immunology of Diabetes Society and Brisbane Immunology Group meeting. Her work is funded by the NHMRC, MSRA, the Rebecca L. Cooper Foundation and the Lions Club. Dr Jordan became Honours' co-ordinator (Molecular and Cell Biology) in 2013 and Director of Research (Molecular and Cell Biology) in 2015, both roles of which are still current.  She also serves on the Animal Ethics Commitee and is an ethics monitor for the Human Ethics Committee.
