Dr Melanie Fuller completed her PhD at QUT, investigating injury in dance. She is a Clinical Educator in physiotherapy at James Cook University, and is a member of the Australian College of Physiotherapists (Sports and Exercise, and Musculoskeletal), with dual master’s qualifications. She has worked clinically in private practice, and in pre-professional and professional dance across various dance genres, including with QUT Dance, The Australian Ballet, and musicals such as Matilda. Melanie has presented at both regional and annual international conferences for the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science, Sports Medicine Australia, and the Australian Society of Performing Arts Healthcare (ASPAH). She is currently President of ASPAH, and a dance representative committee member of the Queensland chapter of Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy Australia. Melanie has experience teaching practical classes in undergraduate musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and postgraduate professional development in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy.
