Dr. Zohre Mohammadi is currently a Research Fellow in Tourism at James Cook University, Singapore. She received her PhD in Tourism in 2019 and her MA in Tourism Management-Marketing in 2013 from Allameh Tabataba’i University. Prior to joining JCU she was a Visiting Lecturer at Allameh Tabataba’i, Shiraz, and Yazd Universities. She has worked with internationally known tourism scholars on writing tourism series book chapters and also on tourism research projects in Austria and Italy and held a mentoring appointment linked to MCI Innsbruck Austria.

Her research interest lies in the tourism behavior, marketing and especially new emerging markets targeted at Aquaculture Tourism. In particular, she is keen to offer substantial thoughts on events, activities and amenities for children being educated and practice sustainability, women taking active role in community based tourism and improving sustainable livelihood. She have published a number of papers in the named areas in prestigious international conferences and journals in addition to book chapters published by Emerald and DeGruyter. She has also been involved in a range of strategic planning and reengineering projects in Iran such as designing a strategic plan for a company specialized at health tourism and also working with a national airline on feasibility of desert tourism. In addition, she benefits from using innovative qualitative methods in conducting her research and she feels quite confident in deploying and exploring this approach more extensively across the future research activities.
