Dr Nasreena Waheed is a registered nurse with over 20 years of Clinical Nursing experience in different parts of the world. She has outstanding academic achievements from three major Australian universities where she gained her academic qualifications. She completed a doctorate in Public Health, looking at Cancer Care Coordintion in one region of Adelaide, South Australia.

Nasreena joined JCU at the begining of 2021. Before that she has worked at Charles Darwin University and Flinders University for over 12 years. Her education in nursing and public health broadens her knowledge and scope of expertise, especially her research. She has conducted research in nursing, academia and public health. She frequently contributes to international conferences and acts as a peer reviewer for a number of International Journals, University grant committees and textbook publishers.
