Dr Sook Rei Tan obtained her PhD in Economics at Nanyang Technological University in 2019. Her current research interests include applied macroeconomics and international finance.
Specifically, her thesis research focuses on the topic of international financial integration, in which she studies how financial openness of one country is related to the foreign exchange stability, income inequality and stock market pricing of the country. Over time, she has acquired strong econometric prowess in dealing with longitudinal and time series data. Her research works had been accepted and presented at several conferences, such as Conference of Computing in Economics and Finance, INFER Workshop on Applied Macroeconomics and Singapore Economic Review Conference.
