About

Sue Moore is a social work practitioner, educator, researcher, and human services leader.  She has worked across State, Territory, and Australian Government Departments with a specific focus on children, families, and communities with a specific professional focus on regional and remote populations.

Sue's professional experience has been scaffolded by an ongoing commitment to postgraduate studies, bringing a unique blend of a contemporary, evidence-informed approach to practice and leadership. 

With a strong commitment to social justice through critical thinking and innovative service design, Sue's approach to complex social challenges examines the strengths of individuals, families, and community networks in conjunction with formal service systems, legislation, and policy to redefine problems and their solutions. 

Through her current role as Social Worker Lecture at JCU, Sue is committed to establishing and supporting pathways through education and research to ensure social work and human services graduates contribute to transformative, innovative, and generational social change.
