Dr Zahra Pourabedin is a marketing and tourism specialist with James Cook University Singapore.
Zahra's research interests include digital marketing and tourism marketing. New marketing tools, aided by the global presence of the Internet, are playing an increasingly influential role in the development of marketing strategies. Zahra examines how technology influences customer behaviour in the tourism and retail industries. In addition, Zahra has interest to work in the area of experiential marketing. She has published in peer reviewd journals, presented at international conferences and has published book chapter on these topics. She was awarded ''Highly commended paper of 2019'' by Emerald.
Recent project she has conducted has studied the influence of electronic word of mouth on consumer behaviour. Zahra's other project includes using big data analyticts in marketing.
