Interview transcripts and consent forms from an Australian constructivist grounded theory research project examining the process of role change at end of life. The dataset consists of 25 files: 24 interviews and the consent forms. In-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted with 26 participants: 13 dying people (identified as P1 to P13), 8 family caregivers (identified as C1 to C8) and five health professionals (identified as HP1 to HP5). 2 interviews were conducting with the dying person and caregiver both present, the remainder were undertaken individually.
