    Sightings for dugongs, cetaceans and turtles in the Gulf of Carpentaria area during the dugong aerials surveys in December 1997. These data are the results of the first survey of the entire Queensland coastal waters for the Gulf of Carpentaria for marine wildflife using the quantitative aerial survey techniques, which are now standard for dugongs.
