    This dataset contains spawning aggregation fish density and fishery data for two species of grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus and E. polyphekadion) at a site in New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea. Over two spawning months in 2013, fish aggregation density was estimated by divers conducting (point-count) underwater visual census surveys. A fishery targeting the two species of grouper at the spawning site was observed over the same period, with individual fisher catch and effort data collected and used to estimate catch-per-unit-effort. Other fishery information collected includes numbers of boats and fishers, hook size, and depth of fishing for catches.
