Phong Tan NGUYEN is a conservation practitioner with 20 years of experience in various environments including terrestrial areas, wetlands, coastal areas and islands in developing countries of Asia.
Phong completed a Master of Applied Science Program in Protected Area Management at James Cook University in 2012. In 2016, Phong completed his PhD program at James Cook University. His PhD research focused on identifying mechanisms for integrating local and scientific knowledge for managing sustainably the muddy coasts of Kien Giang, Vietnam and Brebes Regency, Indonesia.
