Dr Fernandez-Medina joined the College of Medicine and Dentistry, James Cook University, Australia as a Senior Lecturer and academic lead in Clinical Dentistry and Implantology in 2022. Tulio completed his Doctor Dentist Science from Universidad del Valle (Cali-Colombia) followed by the Clinical Masters in Oral Implantology and Reconstructive from Universidad Militar Nueva Granada- Fundacion CIEO (Bogota-Colombia), with high distinction. He started his teaching career at the same institution and from there on he has accumulated over a decade of teaching and research experience in various universities both in Colombia and Australia. He currently holds an adjunct position as Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Orofacial Regeneration, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation (COR3) School of Dentistry -The University of Queensland.
