Zi Sheng (Albert) is currently a Lecturer in Engineering at the College of Science and Engineering at James Cook University, Australia. He is also an International Program Coordinator working with Xi'an University of Technology for teaching and planning for the partnership program.
Albert completed his PhD at Southern Cross University (SCU), Australia in 2022. He held the teaching position of an Associate Lecturer at SCU from January 2020 to April 2022. Following that, he worked as a Lecturer in Engineering (Education) at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Brunel University London, United Kingdom, from June 2022 to July 2023. As part of the academics in the transnational education (TNE) program with North China University of Technology (NCUT), Beijing, China, he developed some subjects and conducted lectures at NCUT.
Albert obtained his BEng (first class honours) and MEng (by research) in Civil Engineering from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Malaysia. During his master's degree studies, he held a part-time teaching position at UMS and contributed of a development of a laboratory manual. In addition to his PhD studies, Albert collaborated with Yee Yan and Scott on various research projects and engaged in on-site research projects with Juteras Vision Pty Ltd (Malaysia).
